Creating a future where AI and humans work hand in hand

Hero image of about page

Since 2016, we've helped over a hundred mid-market and enterprise teams eliminate tedious work and uncover more sales opportunities.

Our AI takes care of repetitive rule-based tasks, such as email follow ups and identifying people who are interested in having a sales conversation. This enables employees to focus on more creative and meaningful work.

Testimonial image of Elena

Not only has our Saleswhale assistant effectively nurtured leads but also helped to identify leads that were otherwise considered 'lost'. The team has been super helpful too and have always suggested and implemented intuitive and creative ideas to make the solution work for us. We look forward to rolling Saleswhale out to all our schools in the near future and are excited about the possibilities that it would open up for us.

The Saleswhale Story

SW story 2015 image

2015 - Where there's a will, there's a whale!

Saleswhale started as a side project, leveraging on the newly launched Gmail API and Tensorflow framework, to build an AI sales assistant. Gabriel (CEO), Venus (VP Product), and Ethan (CTO), in a fit of madness, quit their jobs in December 2015 to dive into building Saleswhale full-time.

2016 - Building something people want

The Saleswhale team set up shop at the nearest Starbucks - designing product, writing code, and experimenting with the length of time one can nurse a cup of coffee before getting harangued by Starbucks employees (answer: 4 hours). By a stroke of luck, the Saleswhale team got accepted into Y Combinator (S16), and moved to San Francisco.

2017 - Getting down to business

Raised seed funding of US$1.2 million, returned to Singapore, and hired early core team of engineers to continue fleshing out the product. Onboarded early enterprise beta customers crazy enough to take a chance on Saleswhale’s AI assistant.
